Christmas Day

This was the video from Christmas morning. Lucas woke up at 9:15. He was pretty excited and jumping in his crib when Ryan went in and got him. He loves his daddy and was so happy that he was home.

He was so exhausted by the end of the day. We tried to put him down for a nap earlier, but he just wouldn't fall asleep at Grandma's, so then he just passed out.

It's the most wonderful time of the year

We have had a wonderful Christmas season, and the celebrations are still going on. Lucas is having so much fun with friends and family. These are the pictures leading up to Christmas Day.

Christmas party #1

We got snow on Christmas Eve, Lucas was so excited to play in it

We had a Progressive dinner for Christmas Eve with Ryan's family. We ate the main course at our house. All of the sudden the doorbell rang, one of our neighbors had dressed up as Santa and surprised us and wanted to give the kids presents. They knew we had Lucas, but I don't think they knew that there would be 10 kids over. It was so nice of them. The kids thought it was so great!

After the dinner, we went to Ryan's parent's house and read from Luke 2 and the kids acted out the Nativity. Lucas was Wise Man #2. He did a great job.

Ryan's brother has 5 kids including a baby born in October and he made a perfect Baby Jesus. Ryan's sister has 4 kids. So we had a perfect amount for the Nativity.

This video is from October. I thought it was pretty funny and shows a little personality.

First movie

We took Lucas to his first movie a couple of weeks ago. We took him to the movies a lot when he was a baby, but this is the first one for him. We went to Rise of the Guardians. He really enjoyed it and so did we! He sat on our laps, ate popcorn, and pointed and said Santa each time he came on screen. He did really well and liked it.

Christmas is coming

We went on a light cruise to the North Pole. Luckily Santa did say that Lucas was on the nice list.

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving. We drove to southern Idaho and stayed at my Grandma's house. She lives on a farm and to me, that is Thanksgiving. Three of my sisters were there and their kids. It was fun. We ate a lot of good, good food. It was a long drive, but the roads were good and Lucas did great. He loved playing with his cousins and uncles.

We got to skype with my parents who are serving a mission in France.

I love this picture. I love that Lucas will just hold our hands and go explore. He would grab his cousins hands and take them to play.

He loved climbing on the counter and talking on the phone. He said he was calling Grandma.

He really likes his baby cousin Beck.

He was obsessed with this clock and wanted to touch it and see how it moved.

Lucas learned a new trick--somersaults. He was showing off for everyone and was so happy that he finally could do a somersault.

Cousins

We went to 2 out of town funerals (for my 92 year old grandpa and 3 year old cousin) in the last 4 days. We did a lot of driving. Lucas was a champ in the car. Luckily he had cousins to play with and a DVD player to watch. It was good to be around so much family. We are going to stay home for the next few days and get back on our schedule.
