Chuck E Cheese

We took Lucas to Chuck E Cheese last night, enjoy these pictures from his favorite ride. He was a maniac.

 

Lucas counting

Lucas got on this stage and started counting. Right before he had done it perfectly all the way to 13. I think his little counting voice is so cute!

Julie's visit

We had the pleasure of having Lucas' birth mother, Julie, come and stay and play with us for a few days. Lucas was shy at first (it was close to naptime), but then he warmed up to her pretty quickly. He loved chasing her. I think one of my favorite things of the weekend was Lucas asking Julie, "Go jump on Julie's bed?" and then they would go jump and play. He loved showing off for her. It was great to see them together playing and laughing.

Saying goodbye is hard to do. This is not a good representation of how Lucas felt about Julie. He had fallen asleep on the way to the airport and was kind of cranky. He was sad to see her go and keeps asking about her, "Where's Julie?" and then answers himself: "Julie at the airport. Julie fly on plane." He saw a plane flying yesterday and said, "Where's Julie going?"

We are so grateful for the relationship that we have with Julie. It was so much fun to have her be here and see Lucas in his own environment. We love Julie! We are so happy to have an open adoption. Thanks for coming and visiting!

New Bike

We got Lucas a balance bike this last week. It is a two wheeler with no pedals so he just uses his feet to walk/ride. It seems like it will be a great bike for him to learn how to balance instead of using training wheels. We are excited for him to use it.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend. The weather was amazing and the best that we have had for Easter in so long. Lucas played outside and loved every second. We went to our friend's house on Saturday for an Easter egg hunt and he was pretty excited about it and loved picking up the eggs because he knew there was candy in them. We forgot our camera so these pictures were just on my phone.

 

 

On Sunday after church and naps, we went to Ryan's parent's house for an Easter egg hunt and dinner. Lucas loves being with his cousins and had a blast on round 2.

 

He had collected quite a few eggs and then saw the airplane, set his basket down and ran for the airplane instead of finding more eggs
