Montana trip

Lucas and I went to Montana with my sister and her kids for a quick trip. Lucas got to go swimming for the first time and he liked that it was a like a big tub. We went to the park to play and feed the ducks. He was such a good boy for the trip and the drive.

Faces

Lucas has been making these faces a lot lately. They make us laugh so hard. I was showing him these pictures and he would make the face back at the computer monitor. He is a character!

4th of July

Lucas is very patriotic. This was his church outfit on July 3rd.

My sister puts on a neighborhood parade each year where kids decorate their bikes and strollers. It was really fun, just during naptime though.

We went out to the lake to watch fireworks. Lucas fell asleep right before the big show.

He loves his books and will sit and look at them for a long time, we do read to him a lot too!

He has been making this funny face where he scrunches his nose.

9 Months Old!

Lucas had his 9 month check up today. Luckily he is up to date on his immunizations, so today's appointment was just to check and make sure that he is doing well. He is growing and is getting so big. Just look at the carseat pictures, there is a big difference between 8 and 9 months. The doctor said that he looks and sounds perfect. We are happy to have a healthy baby. He is small weight-wise, but he said that he is still on a normal growing curve. We is eating well and happy so we don't need to worry too much about that.

Lucas just popped another tooth on the bottom so that makes 7 teeth. 4 on the top and 3 on the bottom. We realize how lucky we are when he is teething. He just drools a lot, but is not too sad. He is trying to crawl, but it just ends in him rolling a lot and inching forward to get his toys or anything else on the floor. I know that in no time he will be moving like crazy and need to baby proof my house a little bit better. He is still sleeping really well at night. He takes 2 naps for sure and then a third nap somedays. We buy diapers at Costco and he is still wearing the size 1-2. After we finish this box, I think that he will be ready for size 3!

He is such a happy and fun baby. We think that he is super adorable and it is so fun to watch him learn new things. He loves clapping. Just in the last couple of days he learned how to wave. I was getting him out of his crib in the morning a few days ago and I said "Let's go say bye-bye to daddy" and he started waving. It was so cute. He waves when it is bedtime and one of us takes him upstairs to bed. Yesterday I was at my sister's house and he was sitting on the floor and she was playing with him and made some dog noises. He got so excited and was laughing so hard that he got the hiccups. Lucas loves making noises with his tongue and spits as he does it. He loves sitting and crossing his legs at his ankles. He loves playing with the wipes package. The other day he just sat there and played with it for 15 minutes. He loves reading books and gets really excited for his favorites like Barnyard Dance, Baby in a Car, and Peek-a-boo Jungle.
