I've got the whole crib to myself

We started letting Lucas sleep in his crib without the baby Moses basket. It has been so funny to see all the positions that he gets in now. We are always surprised by how much he can move around.

Easter

After spending the last 5 days in Utah, Lucas and I made it home Easter morning in time for church and Easter dinner at Ryan's parent's. Lucas was so happy to see his daddy.

Lucas wore a cute little outfit and he looked so handsome. He loves anything yellow, especially yellow ducks. I made these cupcakes especially for him. He loved looking and smiling at them. We had a wonderful Easter with family. We are so grateful to be able to celebrate the Savior's resurrection.

6 months

Lucas did not want to lie on the table this time, he was so sad when he had to be measured, weighed and checked out.

Lucas is 6 months old! I can't believe it. Here are his stats:

Weight: 13 lbs 13.5 oz 2-3%

Height: 26.75 inches 63%

Head Circ: 16.8 inches 19%

He is healthy and reaching all the milestones. He had to get 3 shots and one oral vaccine. He did not like any of them. He just wanted to cuddle afterwards. He slept a lot after the appointment, but he wasn't cranky like he was last time after shots.

He is still such an amazing baby. He is such a joy to have in our home. He makes us laugh and it seems like his personality is really coming out. He loves anything yellow (just like Julie!), especially his yellow lamb and yellow duck. He can go from sad to immediately happy when he sees them. It is so funny. He has a couple books with yellow ducks in them and when we turn the page to see them he immediately gets a smile on his face. It is so cute! He started rolling over a couple months ago, but kind of seemed like he didn't care to do it anymore, but recently he has been rolling over both ways. He is trying to sit up by himself and he loves to stand with our help. He is a strong little guy. We have been feeding him rice cereal and the last few days we added carrots and then today it was beans. He liked them. It is fun to see him try new things.

Funny

The other night we checked on the video monitor before we went to bed and saw that Lucas had his pacifier on his cheek, we couldn't resist going in his room to take a picture of it. So funny!

Cousins

Lucas has been having fun playing in this new toy. His toes touch the ground just barely. He will be 6 months old in 2 days. He will go to the doctor for a checkup on Thursday. We think that he is going through a growth spurt right now so it will be fun to see how big he has gotten.

Hike

It was finally nice enough outside to take Lucas on his first hike. He really liked being outside and liked being in the baby bjorn.

Tulips and birthday

For my birthday, Lucas gave me yellow tulips, my favorite. He is the best!

Baseball Fan

Ryan was so happy that it is the beginning of the season. He gets as excited as a kid on Christmas for opening day. He was the happiest papa in all the world to be able to watch baseball with his son.
