Fall

Fall is definitely my favorite season. We have great fall weather here. It has been in the 60s and sunny. There is a crispness in the air. The leaves are absolutely gorgeous. It has been fun to rake the leaves with the sole purpose of jumping in them. 

 

He is packing for Grandma and Grandpa's here. As you can see the important stuff, his toys. He spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa's for the first time and did great!

After church on October 20, we went to walk around the temple. We were married there 7 years ago. It looked beautiful with the colors just like it did on our wedding day. The sky was blue as can be just like our wedding day too. On the way there we told Lucas that we got married there and he asked "And that is when you became mommy and daddy?"

Playing in the leaves with friends. Lucas asked the other day if we could rake "and then our friends will come and play in the leaves with us." He loves playing with friends.

Wait, leaves are something that I can throw at other people?

One day while friends were over I made this space ship for them to play in. It was a hit!

I found this costume for only $4 and since that is what Lucas said he wanted to be for Halloween I had to buy it. He has gotten $4 out of it for sure. He loves to wear it almost at least once a day.

Twice a year our church has a conference where we hear from our leaders. We tried to have lots of activities for Lucas to do. He loved finding the pictures of the Prophet and apostles as they were speaking.

 

 

We have been teaching Lucas the Prophet and apostle's names. He has done a pretty good job. It is fun to hear his little voice here:

 

"Just like Perry the Hotopus" (Perry the platypus)

 

It is a 2 day conference and he had done all of his activities and decided to become an angry bird

Indiana Trip

After we went to Minnesota, Lucas and I flew to Indiana for a few days to visit my best friend and her family. We were roommates in college and she is pretty much the coolest person ever. It was fun to see our kids play together. We had so much fun being in Indiana! Thanks Buddy! I am not sure where it came from but we started calling each other Buddy in college. It was really funny to hear her kids call me Buddy or Lucas' mom. I am still not sure if they know my real name.


Maureen's 6 year old wanted to celebrate the Chinese holiday, Mid-Autumn Festival even though it was a couple of weeks ago. We made dragon masks and lit this latern. It was really fun!

This turned out really cool and went really far



We went to a fun place called Conner Prairie and ate apple donuts and an apple sundae.

They had a play area for kids and Lucas loved this farmer hat



He was pretty excited about this cash register and learned a new word "dollars"
